Dianne is the store owner and buyer at The House of Shoes. You can find her in store Saturdays, as well as periodically throughout the week. Her first purchase from the New Collection was a pair of Think! sneakers.
Which new season styles have you bought?
My first purchase was a pair of Think! sneakers in white. I’ve been meaning to replace a pair of white sneakers from several seasons ago for a while, and the Turna sneaker was a perfect update for my Spring wardrobe. The first time I wore them was on a day trip to Melbourne for a SS25 buy, and my feet couldn’t have been happier!

For the store's 50th Celebration, I purchased the Hispanitas Tahiti heel in nata. It suited my neutral cream outfit perfectly, and provided lots of cushioning when standing for long periods. Whilst there’s only one pair left in this style (size 40), the alternative Tahiti black sandal is a classic option that will go with almost anything in your wardrobe.
Another purchase of mine was the Arche Sharly sandal in fuscia. I love the colour, and it looks amazing with dark olive green. I'm always stopped in the street whenever I wear these comfortable sandals. Arche is one of my favourite brands, for sure!
We have welcomed some new brands for the season. Do you have a favourite?
I’m quite taken with e’serdiv after meeting with Irene (the founder) earlier this year. She’s a driven shoe designer with a keen eye for detail and fashion. I love to be able to support talented female shoe designers here in Australia, as they’re few and far between!

What is your favourite summer holiday destination?
This year I’ll be spending a lot of time out in the Tasmanian wilderness, either walking or on my mountain bike. As many of you know, my husband Rohan and I also run a mountain biking and bushwalking tourism business in Tasmania, so I’ll be taking numerous trips out to where Rohan is throughout the summer, be it Derby, Maydena, Tasman Peninsular or the Southwest.
