Vanessa is the Store Manager at The House of Shoes. You can find her in the store Monday to Friday. Her first purchase was the Ara 14102 Black boots.
What are your top three picks for the season?
This boot is a fantastic choice for tackling all the elements a Tassie winter can throw at you. It features warm lining throughout, perfect for keeping cold feet comfortable. The Gore-Tex lining makes it ideal for wet days. The Neoprene outer is not only stylish but also practical. Having recently purchased these, I'm eager to road test them at my son’s hockey matches.
Victoria shoes offer exceptional comfort. The new season’s colours are especially appealing, with Plata being my favourite. The silver sparkles add a bit of fun to the design.
Beautifully handcrafted with Arche’s signature soft leather, this mid-calf boot looks great paired with dresses or trousers. The buckle detail on the side is an interesting feature. This is definitely one to watch—a unique piece that’s built to last for years. Also available in khaki.
What is your favourite accessory?
I love the Hispanitas handbag range, and my favourite is the Hispanitas Clutch Boa. The material's softness and eye-catching pattern make it stand out. The strap and twist lock handle add interest, making it a lovely bag for both day and evening use.
With the colder months approaching, what do you enjoy doing on the cooler days?
I enjoy spending time outdoors, so getting out for a walk or run is always part of my routine. The other thing I enjoy is cooking up a nice soup or casserole. It’s comforting to have something hearty on those colder days.
