Explore the New Collection with Dianne, Store Owner & Collection Buyer
Dianne is the Owner and Collection Buyer at The House of Shoes. You can find her in store most Saturdays, as well as Mondays and Tuesdays between 11am – 2pm. Dianne’s first purchase from the New Collection was a pair of Hogl loafers.
What are your top three picks from our New Collection?
This beautiful patent leather loafer was my first choice from our New Collection, as winter shoes have been my biggest wardrobe gap to fill. This season there’s a larger focus on shoes than in previous years, and the selection ranges from chunky loafers to Mary-Janes. This loafer provides a sophisticated and stylish look for work, and is comfortable to wear all day.
I have several pairs of Hispanitas sneakers in my wardrobe, but when I first saw a sample of this sneaker at the Autumn/Winter 2024 buy in August last year, I knew I had to get a pair for myself! The colour combination is absolutely stunning. These have been my go-to shoe for busy days in the shop unpacking new stock.
Whilst there is a higher price point for Think! shoes and boots, you certainly pay for it in leather quality, craftsmanship, durability and comfort These lace up boots are a cross between a hightop sneaker and ankle boot and provide a neat fit around the ankle – perfect for tights and skirts or under pants.
What is your favourite accessory from The House of Shoes?
I love our sunglasses brand, Sunday Somewhere. I have a few pairs now, and my favourites are those with the acetate frame – particularly because they’re more durable and can withstand getting thrown in a handbag in a hurry. Their shapes are flattering, and stylish. Plus, they’ve been worn by celebrities Jessica Biel, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Miranda Kerr!
What is your favourite winter treat?
I enjoy a glass of mulled wine, and love finding it on the menu at certain places throughout winter. The Bush Inn Brewhouse in Deloraine do a great mulled wine.
