Winter Style Edit with Et la mer: Part 1

by Dianne Sheehan, Owner / Manager

With winter approaching, I visited Cath at her fashion boutique Et la mer this week to look for winter styling ideas and options to pair with our winter boots. Living in the most southern state of Australia, we sure know how to layer our clothing. One, for warmth but also so we can take the outer layers off when we're indoors and still look amazing!

It was with this in mind that we approached our Winter Style Edit in layers.

Our focus at the moment is on our wool and warm lined boots, so we looked at how we could match these heavier styles with feminine pieces for a chic and stylish look.

Our boot options included Ara 16430 in grey and Hispanitas Bora Bora in olive:

Ara 16430 grey

This modern combat style boot has a heavier look with the chunky sole, but still incorporates feminine styling with the sparkly trim around the sole.

We chose a simple dress with tights as the base layer, but for more warmth added a long sleeve merino roll-neck top and scarf that highlighted colour similarities in the boots.

Similarly to the Ara lace up boot, the Bora Bora ankle boot has olive green and grey tones. It has an alpine look to it, and you can imagine wearing these at an alpine ski resort in front of the fire!

With this in mind, we selected casual and cosy pieces, including denim jeans and a loose fitting floral blouse. The floral blouse incorporates the olive green tones, but adds a touch of femininity.

Lastly we added a woolen vest for that extra layer of warmth.
